Joyce Soroka

Joyce Soroka brings extensive knowledge and experience in the Child and Adult Care Food Program to CNR. She graduated with a BS in Dietetics and a minor in Food Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She began her career working as a School Food Service Director at School Districts in Pennsylvania for 10 years. Joyce then worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Food and Nutrition, in the Field Services section starting as a Field Advisor conducting Child Nutrition reviews advancing to Supervisor of Field Services when she retired in January 2015 with 28+ years of service. She has conducted and had oversight for Child and Adult Care Food Program reviews for Independent and Sponsoring Organizations to include At Risk Programs, Head Start Programs, Emergency Shelters and Family Day Care Homes. Throughout her career she has worked to develop review processes to aid in conducting all aspects of the review process. She was instrumental in revisions to the USDA, Food and Nutrition Services, Crediting Handbook for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
