Our firm began operations in 2001 when Crandall Corporate Dietitians, the nation’s largest dietary consulting firm, spun off its child nutrition division and created CN Resource. Our goal back then, the same as it is today, is to provide flexible assistance to State Agencies that are constantly being asked to do more with less as they oversee USDA/FNS Child Nutrition Programs.
We will always be grateful to our first few customers which included SMIs for the Oregon Dept. of Education, CACFP reviews for the District of Columbia and the Louisiana Dept. of Education, and Summer Food Reviews for the Texas Dept. of Health. Since then we have partnered with over 30 different State Agencies representing 23 states.
We understand your goal as a State Agency is to help sponsors operating USDA/FNS Child Nutrition Programs comply with program regulations while ultimately providing healthy meals to America’s children.
When you hire CN Resource you get experienced staff and well-trained onsite reviewers that come from a variety of backgrounds including former State Agency employees and school foodservice directors. Many are Registered Dietitians and Nutritionists and most have the School Nutrition Specialist, or SNS credential. We also have CPAs and procurement experts on staff to complete those portions of the review that deal with finance and purchasing. Together we have the tools and knowledge to help simplify the complex compliance process of USDA/FNS Child Nutrition Programs. We look forward to discussing how we can provide flexible assistance to your State Agency.
